Graduate Curriculum Options

  • Master of Science - This is a research-based degree and students work closely with their major advisor in completing a research project and thesis. The objectives are to provide training in the scientific method and prepare students for research careers or for entering a doctoral program.
  • Doctor of Philosophy - Doctoral study consists of independent mastery of a field of knowledge and the successful completion of original research that makes a major contribution to the field of horticulture.
